Differences Between Men And Women - 1338 Words

Over the course of history, men and women have be faced with a communication barrier. The differing communication skills between men and women present challenges that can lead to foreseeable problems in relationships. These problems arise out of differing purposes, styles, traits, and emotions that accompany communication between the two sexes. Unless an understanding is reached, these barriers may never be broken down. The structure of men and women’s brain differ, which is the underlying cause to the differing communication skills (â€Å"Men and Women†). A study was conducted to examine the structural differences of men and women’s brains and the results provided an explanation to why men and women behave differently (â€Å"Men and Women†).†¦show more content†¦in Morrison). This desire for intimacy induces women to discuss her problems with her partner. However, this conversation initiated by the women quickly takes a turn for the worse becaus e the man views this as a request for advice, but in reality, the woman wants to be comforted. This is where the potential relationship obstacle arises. Because the man misinterprets the request for comfort as a request for his proposal, â€Å"The women begins to feel that her man doesn’t care about her because he won’t talk to her in a way that feels intimate† (Morrison). When a woman feels as if she is not cared about, the decay of the relationship begins. John Gray, a marriage therapist, emphasizes the differences in the styles of communication of the two sexes (Stewart). The rate at which men and women talk varies greatly. Women tend to speak must faster than men, speaking at 250 words per minute, while men only speak at 125 words per minute (Goldsmith). According the author Gary Smalley, â€Å"†¦in the course of the day women speak 25,000 words compared to a man who only uses 12,000† (qtd. in Goldsmith). Men also tend to switch topic over the c ourse of a conversation more frequently than women do (Tannen). Women who tend to discuss one topic the entire course of a conversation, feel as if men are not listening to them when they begin to change the subject (Tannen). World Health Organization (WHO) Essay

Good health is considered as being one of the most important aspects of quality life. Arguably, it can be said to be one of the propellers of a sound economy. For this reason, many countries and also non-governmental organizations have come up with a number of health organizations so as to promote health issues in different parts of the world. In this case, I will base my analysis on the World Health Organization (WHO). World Health Organization is a United Nations agency that undertakes the responsibilities of coordinating international public health. Besides, it also undertakes part in the prevention and treatment of diseases for instance, Malaria. It was instituted in 1948 and Geneva Switzerland set as its headquarters (Burci Vignes, 2004). The organization took its consent and resources from Health Organization which was one of the agencies of the League of Nations. As per its constitution, its major objective is to ensure that people attain the highest possible level of health. The organization runs a number of progammes and projects which includes; Global Malaria Programme, Prequalification of Medicines Programme, Global Burden of Diseases project, and African Programme for Onchocerciasis Control. It has also carried research and created policy documents such as the PAHO Policy on Research for Health. It should also be noted that, the organization has established partnership with some private partners such as the Institute for Oe World Health and the Malaria Vaccine Initiative, in its research work. In terms of structure, the organization has about 191 UN members. The delegates in the World Health Assembly are usually appointed by the member states, (Burci Vignes, 2004). The WHO Assembly is the ultimate decision making body of the organization. It makes policies as well as approving any proposed programme budget. The organization obtains its finances from the contributions that each and every member party makes towards the activities of this organization. Effective Leaders Abstract Leadership is the process of using power and influence to navigate followers to achieve a specific goal. The purpose of this paper is to explain that effective leaders must hone specific traits that are indispensable for managing organizations successfully. Investigate significant differences, and 5. Document steps. It appears that Mr. Greenspan did not complete all of the necessary procedures and should further his analytical inquiries on ZZZZ Best. A red flag that I noticed, and could have been investigated with appropriate analytical procedures, was the sudden jump in revenues. Under the develop an expectation step in analytical procedures, the auditors/engagement partner could have compared current year account balances to previous year balances (vertical and horizontal analysis) and noticed the rapid increase of revenue from 1984-1987, which would raise questions that might have lead to the discovery of the fraud earlier on. c. Visitation of Restoration Sites- It is hard to elaborate on the limitations of the physical visit to the restoration sites due to the fact that everyone who the auditors made contact with were paid off and part of Minkow’s scheme, and they had no way of knowing. However, I think, like Congressman Lent drew attention to, the auditors could have gathered and investigated the site for permits and questioned workers they came in contact with about what happened to the site for it to need repairs from damage. The auditors may have gotten different answers from different workers, raising a red flag. It also would have been beneficial to make a surprise visit instead of calling ahead. 3. The client receiving payments does not prove the existence of contracts.
